The Boldt Yacht House, Wellesley Island, is the new home to the 1892-built Kestrel, a 63-foot steam yacht similar to those that were popular on the St. Lawrence River at the turn-of-the-century.

The Kestrel was donated in early August to the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority for public viewing. This magnificent yacht has original mahogany and hardwood paneling cabins, a wheelhouse, coal stove, sinks and hand pumps.

Come see a fully functioning yacht like the ones popular during Boldt Castle and the 1000 Islands heyday. The yacht is docked at the Boldt Yacht House.

Boldt Castle is located on Heart Island in the 1000 Islands, Alexandria Bay, New York 13607. Boat tours from both the U.S. and Canada stop at Heart Island.
