The Dove-Cote
The “Hennery,” or Dove-Cote, was the first structure built on the island.
The bottom portion of the tower houses an elevated water tank which supplied water to the island structures. It was topped with a dove house – where they collected fancy fowl. It was also the first of many towers that were to rise on this and other of the nearby islands.
