Guidelines
We thank you for helping us preserve the integrity of Boldt Castle’s name and image by cooperating with the following guidelines.
Personal photos may be taken by visitors so long as they are used exclusively for personal non-commercial purposes, the taking of such photos is consistent with the policies listed here, including the wedding and portrait photography policy below and they do not interfere with the ongoing operations of the facility.
Inside Boldt Castle:
Unlike most historic homes, Boldt Castle does allow interior photography with some restrictions. Boldt Castle does not allow staged indoor photography that interferes with the flow of traffic or visitor experience. Staff members have the right to limit guest access to any staircases, rooms or locations being used by guests involved in the action of taking or posing for photos.
Outside Boldt Castle:
Taking photographs of the exterior of Boldt Castle and its associated properties or sketching images of the house or estate grounds is permitted for personal use only. All commercial uses are prohibited without express written consent.
Aerial Photography/Drones:
Use of unmanned aerial vehicles or drones while on Boldt Castle/TIBA property is strictly prohibited.
Commercial Photography:
Any commercial use of photography or video is prohibited without written permission.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, TIBA reserves the right to prohibit any filming or photography on its lands for any reason, including if the filming or photography creates the potential for: disruption of business or guest activities; damage to or alteration of the property; inappropriate use of the Boldt Castle name, marks or image; other safety & security hazards.
Special Occasion Photography:
Special occasion photography includes but is not limited to engagements, wedding photos, family photos, class photos, reunion photos, senior photos or portraits, etc. A reservation is required one week in advance to ensure that you are able to gain access to the property. Wedding ceremonies held on Boldt Castle grounds should refer to the signed contract.
